Ashutosh GargCEO & Founder of Viven
Digital twins of employees (Opty | Co-investors: Khosla, Foundation, FPV Ventures, among others)
1. Tell us about your background and how you started the companyI’m a repeat founder and technologist who has spent the past two decades building AI platforms that help people do their best work. After leading product and research teams at Google Search, I co-founded BloomReach and then Eightfold AI, where we applied deep-learning to talent management. Throughout that journey I saw a consistent pain point: when key people are unavailable, decisions stall, context is lost, and teams slow down. That inspired Varun Kacholia (my longtime co-founder) and me to start Viven. Our vision is a world where everyone has a Digital Twin—an intelligent, personal model trained on their real work—so progress never stops. 2. What are the key problems you are addressing and how you are delivering value to customers?Viven’s Digital Twins capture each individual’s institutional memory—emails, docs, meeting notes, decisions—and make it instantly searchable and shareable (with strict pair-wise privacy controls). Customers like Genpact have already deployed thousands of Twins and report 50 % faster onboarding and materially quicker decision-making across time zones. By turning knowledge into an always-on asset, we help organizations move faster, break down silos, and keep momentum even when people are offline.
3. What have you enjoyed or what do you look forward to about working with Tau Ventures? Tau has been more than a capital partner; you’ve been connectors and champion storytellers. From advising on our go-to-market to amplifying our launch across your 5,000-strong network, the team has consistently opened doors that matter. I’m especially excited about the upcoming Fund III partnership discussions and the chance to co-host thought-leadership events where we can showcase real-world Digital Twin success stories to the broader Tau community.
Tau Ventures is an early stage VC fund investing in AI first startups.
